Dr. Aeen Aflaatuni Pediatric dentist Dr. Aeen was born in Iran, attended elementary school in Canada until settling down in San Jose, CA with his family. He received his bachelor’s degree in Genetics from UC Davis and his doctorate degree from University of the Pacific. He completed a general practice residency with a focus in Hospital Dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York and conducted his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Southern California. In his spare time, Dr. Aeen enjoys volunteering, both abroad such as in Latin America, and in local communities through the California Dental Association. Dr. Aeen also enjoys teaching and is not shy of a large audience. While not practicing dentistry, you can find Dr. Aeen playing recreational soccer and traveling to different cities with his friends. |
Dr. Irene Ching PEDIATRIC DENTIST Dr. Irene is a native of San Francisco, CA. She left California for the East Coast to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Georgetown University before returning home to the Bay Area and earning both her master’s degree in Global Health Sciences and her doctorate degree at UCSF. She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California. She believes in empowering children and their families to be proactive about prevention through a personalized approach. Outside of the office, Dr. Irene enjoys cheering on the Warriors, cooking and baking in the kitchen, hiking coastal trails, and practicing pilates. |
Dr. Katherine Kieu ORTHODONTIST Dr. Kat was born and raised in Orange County. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UCLA, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and received her doctorate degree from UCSF. Nominated by faculty, Dr. Kat was awarded the Craig Memorial Scholarship by the Rho Rho Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), National Dental Honor Society, for outstanding scholarship and ethical character. Dr. Kat worked as a general dentist in San Anselmo before starting her orthodontic residency at the University of the Pacific. Recognizing the importance of providing research-based treatment, she maintains her position as an Instructor of Orthodontics and works closely with the orthodontic Department Chair at UOP. In addition, she has been an associate in private practice since she graduated in 2012. Dr. Kat is a board-certified orthodontist and an active member of the following professional associations: American Association of Orthodontists, California Society of Orthodontists, and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. She also serves on the alumni committee for the Pacific Orthodontic Chapter of the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry Alumni Association. Dedicated to excellence and patient-centered care, Dr. Kat is a compassionate orthodontist who strives to ensure that patients enjoy high-quality results. She looks forward to working with our dental team to help patients achieve healthy and beautiful smiles. In her spare time, Dr. Kat enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband, Eddie, can usually be found chasing after their 2-year-old son, Kyler, when they aren’t working. In addition, she is an avid reader who loves both non-fiction and fiction literature and is an aspiring children’s book author. |
Dr. Kenny Tse Jr. PEdiatric Dentist Dr. Kenny grew up in Pasadena, California. He received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Pitzer College and graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1998. He completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York where he was chief resident. Dr. Kenny's greatest joy is spending time with his wife and their autistic son. A black lab (Champ) and pit bull (Otto) round out their family. It has been said that he has an unhealthy love of cars and motorcycles. In his spare time you might find Dr. Kenny on the racetrack racing cars. He is also the inventor of the ReadyCap camera lens cap holder. |
