History
Our practice has a long and distinguished history of serving families from the surrounding areas. In the 1950s, Dr. Arthur Dugoni (the first and only person in the United States or Canada to have a dental school named in his honor) started our practice. In 1960, Dr. Charles Bona took over when Dr. Dugoni went to graduate school in orthodontics.
Dr. Bona took exceptional care of his patients for over 40 years. The success of his practice was a testament to his gentle and caring approach to the children of our area. Dr. Bona met Dr. Kenny Tse in 2003 and they instantly felt a connection. They had similar views on the profession of pediatric dentistry which made the transition for both Dr. Bona and Dr. Kenny very easy. After retiring, Dr. Bona spent his free time showing Championship Mastiff dogs and sailing. Dr. Kenny and Dr. Bona would have regular lunches and attended numerous continuing education courses together. Dr. Bona was a great mentor and friend to Dr. Kenny. Dr. Bona passed away in 2018 but his legacy will forever live on at Chompers Pediatric Dentistry.
