Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept dental insurance?
Chompers Pediatric Dentistry is a fee-for-service pediatric dental and orthodontic practice. This means we are not contracted with PPO or DMO insurance plans, allowing us to focus entirely on personalized, high-quality care for every child.
Many families with “open” or indemnity plans are still able to use their insurance benefits with our office.
Can I still use my dental insurance at your office?
Yes. Many families with out-of-network or “open” dental plans choose to see us. While coverage varies by plan, we are happy to help you understand your benefits and expected reimbursement.
Will you submit insurance claims for us?
Yes. As a courtesy to our families, we submit all dental insurance paperwork on your behalf whenever possible and work directly with your insurance company to help maximize your benefits.
How will I know what my portion will be?
Before treatment begins, our insurance benefit coordinators provide a written estimate outlining:
-
The total cost of recommended treatment
-
Estimated insurance reimbursement
-
Your expected out-of-pocket portion
Please note that insurance estimates are not guarantees, as coverage decisions are made by your insurance provider.
When is payment due?
Payment is due at the time services are rendered. This approach ensures transparency and allows our team to stay focused on delivering excellent care without unexpected billing surprises later.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept the following forms of payment:
-
Cash
-
Checks
-
Visa
-
MasterCard
-
American Express
-
Debit cards
-
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Financing Options
Do you offer payment plans or financing?
Yes. For families who prefer to spread payments out over time, we offer clear and flexible payment options depending on the type of treatment recommended.
For orthodontic treatment, we offer in-house, interest-free monthly payment plans that are designed to align with your child’s treatment timeline.
For certain procedures, including care completed under general anesthesia, we work with a trusted third-party provider to help families manage the dental portion of care through predictable monthly payments.
Our team is always happy to review available options with you and help you feel confident choosing what works best for your family before treatment is scheduled.
Still have questions about insurance or payment?
Our front office team is happy to walk you through your options and help you feel confident before your child’s visit.
