Saving the Tooth with Pulp Therapy
When a cavity reaches deep into the tooth or trauma causes damage to the nerve, pulp therapy (often called a “baby root canal”) can help save the tooth instead of removing it. This treatment removes the infected part of the pulp while preserving the rest of the tooth, allowing it to function normally until it’s ready to fall out naturally.
